[Asia Economy Reporter No Woo-rae] The off-season is busy as well.
This is the story of the winter camps of the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour players. They are building their bodies through training and rest for the new season. First, there are golfers sweating overseas to escape the cold. Park Min-ji (24, NH Investment & Securities), who dominated the domestic stage by sweeping six wins last year, is a representative example. She is honing her skills in California, USA. She is focusing on practicing her previously lacking short game. She also brought a foam roller from Korea and is diligently stretching.
Park Min-ji, who said, "I want to win once in a short time," expressed her determination, saying, "I hope galleries will be allowed this year," and "I want to show a lot of bright sides."
Im Hee-jeong (22, Korea Land & Housing Corporation) brought not only the golf equipment she usually uses but also a putting mat to create a training environment similar to that in Korea. She explained, "I will work hard during the training period," and "I want to improve my detailed records overall."
