The two mature graduates entrusted the funds, asking that they be used to help underprivileged juniors.
On the 11th, graduates Hwang Young-sun and Kim Ji-sun completed the bachelor's degree major advanced course over the past two years and obtained their bachelor's degrees.
The two graduates decided to donate scholarship funds to express their gratitude to the university and to help students facing difficulties around them.
Hwang Young-sun, who gave up college to support her family after graduating from high school, said, "As I got older, my desire for learning grew stronger," adding, "Thanks to the help of professors and seniors and juniors in the department over four years, I was able to have a happy college life."
She said, "I hope there are no unfortunate students who give up their studies due to financial difficulties like me."
Kim Ji-sun said, "I want to contribute even a little to the university that helped me start the second act of my life wonderfully, such as obtaining a licensed real estate agent certificate and entering graduate school."
Hwang Young-sun and Kim Ji-sun plan to continue their studies in related fields by entering Dong-A University Graduate School of Law and Pukyong National University Graduate School of Business Administration, respectively.
