SD Saengmyeonggonghak Obtains Patents Related to Antibacterial and Anti-Atopy
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jihwan] SD Bioscience announced on the 10th that it obtained a patent last month for a composition containing a complex strain effective for antibacterial, skin moisturizing, and skin barrier strengthening as an active ingredient.
This patent relates to a composition containing a complex strain of three types as active ingredients. The three complex strains of Lactobacillus fermentum, Lactobacillus rhamnosus, and Luteeri have been found to be effective for antibacterial, skin moisturizing, anti-atopic, skin barrier strengthening, and wrinkle improvement activities.
The patented complex strain shows no cytotoxicity and exhibits excellent antibacterial activity against pathogens causing vaginitis. It promotes improvement of skin atopy, has excellent effects in strengthening the skin barrier, and is expected to be usefully applied in the cosmetics and food sectors.
