Superintendent Lee Jae-jeong Conducts On-Site Inspection of Suwon Gwanggyo Gyeonggi Office of Education New Building
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] On the 7th, Lee Jae-jung, Superintendent of Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education, visited the construction site of the new Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education building in Gwanggyo New Town, Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, along with staff members to inspect the construction status and check safety conditions.
The new Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education building is located within the Gyeonggi Convergence Town in Gwanggyo New Town, consisting of 4 basement floors and 18 above-ground floors. After the groundbreaking ceremony in September 2020, the low-rise structural work was completed by last year, and currently, the structural work for the 11th floor above ground is underway.
Superintendent Lee Jae-jung stated, "The new Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education building is an innovative example of a public institution realizing the philosophy of sharing, openness, and transformation through its space," and encouraged the construction personnel by saying, "Everyone involved in the new building project is the main protagonist creating a new history of the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education where meetings, communication, and collaboration occur."
He added, "I feel proud to witness the process of completing the cultural and artistic performance hall that will be used together by citizens, students, and residents," and emphasized, "It is significant in that it embodies the values that future generations will pursue as an educational institution through its space."
The superintendent toured various parts of the construction site and stressed that the safety of the personnel involved in the construction must be the top priority during the construction period. He reviewed the strengthened safety and health management system at the site, implemented according to the Serious Accident Punishment Act enacted on the 27th of last month, and urged thorough management.
