Lee Myung-bak readmitted to Seoul National University Hospital 6 days after discharge... "For additional treatment of chronic illness"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Daehyun] Former President Lee Myung-bak has been re-admitted to Seoul National University Hospital. It has been six days since he was discharged after being hospitalized for treatment of a chronic illness.
According to the Ministry of Justice on the afternoon of the 3rd, the former president was re-admitted to Seoul National University Hospital on the same day for additional tests and treatment related to his chronic illness. During his hospitalization, examinations and treatments will be conducted based on the hospital's medical opinion.
Previously, the former president was admitted to Seoul National University Hospital in Jongno-gu, Seoul on the 17th of last month, where he underwent detailed examinations for his chronic illness. He was discharged on the 28th following the medical staff's opinion and returned to Anyang Prison.

The former president has been receiving hospital treatment for chronic illnesses including diabetes, and he visited the hospital three times last year as well. He is currently serving a prison sentence of 17 years along with a fine of 13 billion KRW and a confiscation amount of 5.78 billion KRW, confirmed for charges including bribery under the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Crimes.
