"Eco-friendly Packaging" Orion Launches 'Dr. You Jeju Yongamsu No-label'
Removing Labels Reduces Vinyl Usage... Improves Sorting Convenience and Recycling Efficiency
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Orion announced on the 3rd that it will launch the ‘Dr.You Jeju Lava Water No-Label’ bottle, which eliminates the vinyl label.
The Dr.You Jeju Lava Water No-Label bottle features the removal of the existing water-soluble label to reduce vinyl usage, improve convenience in waste separation, and enhance PET bottle recycling efficiency. While maintaining the bottle design, the area where the label used to be is engraved with ‘Dr.You Yongamsu’ in relief, and product name, food type, and nutritional information are printed on the bundle packaging. The 530ml product will be first released on the Dr.You Jeju Lava Water application and website on the 10th, with plans to expand sales channels to large supermarkets and e-commerce platforms later. The 2L product will also be introduced sequentially.
Dr.You Jeju Lava Water is made using mineral-rich Jeju lava seawater as the source water. Lava seawater is seawater filtered through volcanic rock layers and seeped into the land, containing a large amount of minerals. For the 2L bottle, it contains 132mg of calcium, 44mg of potassium, and 18mg of magnesium. The hardness, which indicates the amount of calcium and magnesium dissolved in the water, is 200mg/L, classifying it as hard water. Orion is pioneering the domestic hard water market with the message ‘Hardness is a good criterion for choosing water.’
