Pohang Mayor Lee Gang-deok Visits Workers on Duty During Lunar New Year Holiday for 'Quarantine' and 'Safety'
Pohang Mayor Lee Gang-deok visited Space Walk on the 30th to inspect quarantine and safety measures and encourage on-site operation staff.

The mayor said, "I prioritized visiting quarantine sites working during the holiday so that citizens can safely spend the Lunar New Year."
That morning, Mayor Lee visited Hwanho Park’s ‘Space Walk,’ which has emerged as Pohang’s biggest ‘hot place,’ to encourage the staff. He hoped they would work diligently on thorough quarantine and traffic management so that citizens and tourists can safely enjoy the site.
He then visited screening clinics set up at Buk-gu Public Health Center and Yangdeok Hanmaeum Gymnasium to check on their operations. He urged them to make every effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19 during the holiday in preparation for the movement of returning visitors.
To prepare for and prevent any incidents that may occur during the Lunar New Year holiday, Pohang City has established a ‘Lunar New Year Holiday Comprehensive Plan’ and will operate a comprehensive situation room with 410 emergency personnel divided into 14 teams for five days from January 29 to February 2.

Mayor Lee Kang-deok of Pohang said, "I ask everyone to do their best in COVID-19 prevention and quarantine measures in their respective positions so that citizens and returning visitors can spend the holiday with peace of mind."
