Cheil Worldwide Reports Operating Profit of 248.2 Billion KRW Last Year, Up 21.1% YoY (Comprehensive)
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Cheil Worldwide announced on the 27th that its consolidated operating profit for last year was tentatively estimated at 248.2 billion KRW, a 21.11% increase compared to the previous year. Sales reached 3.3257 trillion KRW, up 21.03% year-on-year. Net profit increased by 5.89% to 167.6 billion KRW.
Operating profit for the fourth quarter was 65 billion KRW, up 6.2% compared to the same period last year. Sales and net profit were 985.2 billion KRW and 28.8 billion KRW, respectively.
Last year, the digital business grew by 35% compared to the previous year, accounting for 50% of total sales. The overseas business ratio was 74%, with North American market sales increasing by 53%, China by 18%, and Europe by 15%. The headquarters and regions including North America and China continuously acquired new advertisers, resulting in a 19% growth in non-affiliated advertiser performance compared to the previous year.
