Recruiting 3 New Lead Organizations for Middle-Aged Entrepreneurs Support... Up to 80 Million KRW Funding
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (Minister Kwon Chil-seung, hereinafter referred to as the Ministry) announced on the 27th that it will newly recruit three host organizations to exclusively operate the 'Middle-aged and Senior Technology Startup Centers.'
The Middle-aged and Senior Technology Startup Center is a customized startup incubation space for middle-aged and senior (aged 40 and above) (prospective) retirees with a high business success rate based on abundant social experience. The designated Middle-aged and Senior Technology Startup Centers are assigned roles such as ▲business promotion and discovery of capable middle-aged startup talents ▲operation of middle-aged startup education courses ▲incubation programs for technology startups ▲operation of regional linkage programs ▲post-support management for resident and graduated companies.
Applicants for the newly recruited host organizations must be local governments, universities, non-profit organizations, etc., equipped with infrastructure such as personnel, facilities, and space, and wishing to operate the Middle-aged and Senior Technology Startup Centers. Consortia of two or more organizations can also apply. The support scale will provide up to 80 million KRW per center for operating expenses required for the operation and management of the Middle-aged and Senior Technology Startup Centers and support program operations.
