Universal design refers to designing products, facilities, and services so that users are not restricted by gender, age, disability, language, or other factors.
'Namsan Park' is a children's park of approximately 2,600㎡ located in Seobu-ri, Gijang-eup.
It will be redesigned as a universal design park equipped with exercise facilities, playground equipment, convenience facilities, and ergonomically designed walking paths so that not only children but also parents accompanying children, seniors, and families can enjoy it together safely as a healing space for residents.
Gijang County has secured a budget of 300 million KRW and plans to complete the project by May.
Namsan Park is being developed reflecting residents' opinions that there is a lack of community and ecological experience spaces in the area.
The park will be created as an experiential park where people can feel nature and culture in the city by establishing exercise rest areas for residents' health, creative children's play spaces, and a fruit tree garden including Cornus officinalis trees.
