The city set three major policy directions for the great transformation: 'Special City', 'Everyday City', and 'Decentralized City', and finalized 302 departmental work goals to concretely implement municipal policies.
The announced work goals include establishing the legal basis for relocating public institutions to the special city in the 'Special City' sector, quarterly one-point livelihood stabilization measures in the 'Everyday City' sector, and formulating a smart future city master plan in the 'Decentralized City' sector.
Additionally, as part of the 'Super-gap Strategy,' there is the enhancement of the dignity of Changwon as a democratic holy land. The city plans to steadily manage work goals through quarterly inspections of issues and countermeasures and final performance evaluations.
To express the determination to achieve the departmental work goals announced that day, the city plans to separately sign contracts with the mayor in the future and post the contents on the city’s homepage to share with citizens.
Mayor Heo Seong-mu pointed out, "As the only special city outside the metropolitan area, unlike other special cities where the population increases even without effort, our situation is different, so we must work ten times harder than special cities in the metropolitan area."
