NPX Group Welcomes Startup Expert Kang Kyung-hoon as New Partner
[Asia Economy Reporter Jihwan Park] Global venture studio NPX Group announced on the 25th that it has appointed startup operations expert Kyunghoon Kang as its new partner. Kang will work as a partner at NPX Capital and NPX TerraArc, both subsidiaries of NPX Group.
Before joining NPX, Partner Kang served as an Operating Partner at Forest Partners, a private equity fund (PEF) management firm. Previously, he worked at various companies including startups such as Lezhin Entertainment, which operates the webtoon platform Lezhin Comics, the global bike-sharing platform Mobike, and the education social platform Classting. From 2014 for about three years, he also served as the inaugural CEO of Uber Technologies Korea, Uber's Korean subsidiary that entered the Korean market.
Partner Kang has overseen the operations of startup companies and achieved successful market entry and improved profitability. In 2017, while working as Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) at the edutech startup Classting, he improved the company's revenue by raising previously nonexistent advertising income to surpass the monthly break-even point, demonstrating results in improving corporate profits through strategic operations.
