[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Coupang announced on the 25th that it will hold the 'Seol Celebration Gyeongbuk Sale Festa' in collaboration with Gyeongsangbuk-do to encourage the purchase of products from local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) during the holiday period.
The Seol Celebration Gyeongbuk Sale Festa, which runs until the 13th of next month, was organized to support Gyeongbuk region SMEs who face difficulties in expanding sales channels outside the province. Coupang has been holding the Gyeongbuk Sale Festa annually, and this year marks its third consecutive year.
About 2,000 Gyeongbuk SMEs are participating in this year's Gyeongbuk Sale Festa. They will sell various holiday gift products, including agricultural specialties directly produced and manufactured by them, processed goods, and non-food items, at discounts of up to 30%. In particular, fresh food can be received quickly and fresh through Rocket Fresh.
Coupang is also running the 'Seol Big Season Promotion,' offering popular gifts and famous brands at special prices with discounts of up to 50% until the 2nd of next month.
