[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Ju Cheol-in] Gu Ja-cheon, Chairman of the Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry, proposed on the 19th to regularize economic council meetings where Changwon City's economic policies can be discussed and shared together.
Chairman Gu Ja-cheon of Changwon Chamber of Commerce expressed this opinion during the 2022 Economic Policy Meeting with Heo Seong-mu, Mayor of Changwon Special City, held in the afternoon at the main conference room.
Along with Chairman Gu, about 30 members of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry also suggested ▲ participation of local companies in the construction of Jinhae New Port ▲ early opening of the double-track railway between Bujeon and Masan ▲ increase in KTX services and introduction of SRT from Suseo ▲ formation of a private-sector task force to address Changwon's low birthrate issue ▲ attraction of research and development-focused public institutions.
Chairman Gu Ja-cheon stated, “With the launch of Changwon Special City, I hope that various tasks and authorities to expand regional industrial infrastructure and corporate support will be discovered, serving as an opportunity to elevate the status of Changwon City.”
