Yoon Seok-yeol: "I will boldly exempt Gadeokdo New Airport from preliminary feasibility study"

[Busan= Reporter Park Jun-yi] Yoon Seok-yeol, the presidential candidate of the People Power Party, announced plans to promote the early construction of the Gadeokdo New Airport through exemption from the preliminary feasibility study. He also unveiled plans to relocate KDB Korea Development Bank free of charge and to promote the construction of the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam GTX (Metropolitan Express Railway).

On the 15th, Candidate Yoon held a victory resolution rally of the election campaign committee at the Busan branch of the People Power Party and declared, "If we are going to start the Gadeokdo New Airport anyway, we will boldly exempt it from the preliminary feasibility study."

The campaign headquarters explained in a press release that day, "It is necessary to reflect the cost of establishing the basic plan for timely groundbreaking and to exempt the preliminary feasibility study to simplify procedures," adding, "Along with the creation of the Southeast Mega City, a sustainable growth strategy is needed to activate regional logistics functions and respond to changes in the industrial structure."

Candidate Yoon also revealed plans to relocate KDB Korea Development Bank free of charge. He emphasized, "For Busan to rise as the world's top maritime city and an advanced city, financial resources must be supported," and added, "This cannot be achieved without the financial industry."

He also announced plans to promote the construction of the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam GTX. He explained, "With the construction of the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam GTX, we will create a 'Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam 30-minute living zone era.'"
