Strengthening Quarantine Measures to Ensure Customers Can Use Garak Mall with Confidence During the Lunar New Year Holiday
Installation of COVID-19 Screening Clinic in Garak Market for Over 2,600 Garak Mall Workers to Conduct Weekly PCR Testing
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Garak Mall, operated by the Seoul Agro-Fisheries & Food Corporation (President Youngpyo Moon), is a comprehensive food shopping mall where customers can purchase fruits and vegetables, seafood, dried goods, livestock products, and food miscellaneous items all in one place. It offers fresher and more affordable ingredients compared to general shopping malls.
The corporation announced that in preparation for the upcoming Seollal holiday, it is strengthening quarantine measures so that customers can safely purchase holiday gifts and ancestral rites supplies at Garak Mall amid the nationwide spread of COVID-19.
The corporation is proactively conducting weekly PCR tests for all 2,600 workers residing in Garak Mall through a COVID-19 screening clinic established within Garak Market. It also carries out daily disinfection of all facilities within Garak Mall and operates a 24-hour response system.
Additionally, the corporation is collaborating with distribution organizations to continuously promote and guide efforts to achieve a 70% third-dose vaccination rate among Garak Mall workers before the holiday.
Furthermore, workers suspected of having COVID-19 are managed to enter Garak Mall only after a negative PCR test result, and COVID-19 prevention guideline compliance is promoted and inspected on-site for external purchasing companies that visit Garak Mall daily.
