Ulsan District Court with Many Large-Scale Industrial Complex Cases Establishes Dedicated Trial Division for Serious Accident Punishment Act
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyung-min] On the 12th, the Ulsan District Court announced that it will establish a dedicated trial division for cases violating the Serious Accidents Punishment Act (Serious Accidents Punishment Act), considering the characteristics of the region with many large-scale industrial complexes. As of the 27th, Criminal Division 3 (Chief Judge Kim Yong-hee) will be designated as the dedicated trial division for cases violating the Serious Accidents Punishment Act.
Additionally, Criminal Division 1 (Chief Judge Lee Woo-cheol) will be designated as the dedicated trial division for appeals related to violations of the Serious Accidents Punishment Act and the Industrial Safety and Health Act.
This measure was taken in anticipation of a considerable number of related cases in the region following the enforcement of the Serious Accidents Punishment Act on the 27th. Ulsan has large-scale industrial complexes, resulting in a higher number of industrial accident-related cases compared to other regions.
