Illegal Banners and Flyers Removal Rewarded... Ulju-gun Maintains Collection Reward Program This Year
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] Ulsan Ulju-gun will continue to implement the illegal floating advertisement collection reward system this year.
The county has been implementing the collection reward system annually since 2013, judging that it is difficult to eradicate sales promotion banners, indiscriminately distributed business card-type flyers, and posters rampant in residential areas through administrative crackdowns alone.
The collection reward system is a program that gives rewards when illegal advertisements that damage the urban landscape and threaten the safety of residents are brought to the administrative welfare centers in the implementation areas. Anyone aged 19 or older residing in the area can participate.
It targets illegal banners and posters that are attached or distributed without permission on utility poles, streetlights, and building walls, as well as promotional flyers and business card-type flyers distributed in commercial areas. For banners, both the supporting poles and strings must be collected.
The implementation areas are six towns and townships: Beomseo, Onsan, Eonyang, Onyang, Cheongnyang, and Samnam. Those who wish to participate can visit the administrative welfare centers to receive training and collect illegal floating advertisements.
Applications can be made at the six town administrative welfare centers on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month. The maximum reward limit per person per collection is 50,000 won, which will be transferred to the applicant’s designated bank account after registration.
