Gyeonggi-do to Foster Promising Export SMEs into 'Global Hit Companies'
1-on-1 Customized Consulting from Export Preparation to Customs Clearance
Export Voucher Provided for Overseas Market Research, Marketing, and Brand Development
[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Gyeonggi Province will discover promising small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) within the province that wish to enter overseas markets and support the entire export process from export preparation to overseas expansion.
The province announced on the 12th that it will collaborate with KOTRA to promote the "2022 Global Hit Product Creation Company Export Support Project," supporting 52 companies this year.
The eligible companies are SMEs with headquarters or factories located in Gyeonggi Province and whose export performance in the previous year was less than 20 million USD.
▲ Companies possessing innovative technologies or products ▲ Companies planning to enter countries targeted by the New Southern Policy or New Northern Policy ▲ Specialized companies in materials, parts, and equipment ▲ Companies with excellent employment records ▲ Social enterprises will receive additional points during selection.
Especially, selected companies will be assigned export specialists in overseas marketing who will provide one-on-one customized consulting at each export stage?from export preparation to buyer discovery and customs clearance?considering the company's size and industry.
Companies can also receive an export voucher worth approximately 23.57 million KRW (including 30% company co-payment), which allows them to select and use desired export support services.
With the voucher, companies can freely choose from over 7,300 services provided by more than 1,600 executing organizations such as KOTRA.
Various support services are available, including overseas market research, translation and interpretation, patent and intellectual property acquisition, document preparation, promotion and marketing, brand development, overseas sales, legal, tax, and accounting consulting, design development, and international transportation.
After the project ends, companies can receive overseas marketing consultation services from their assigned export specialists for one year, ensuring follow-up management of the project.
