KCM Challenges First Movie with 'Refresh'
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Isul] Singer KCM (Kang Chang-mo) is taking on a challenge in film.
On the 7th, E-Nol Media announced that the music healing comedy film "Refresh" (directed by Kim Gil-young), based on KCM's true story, will be released next month.
"Refresh" depicts the story of a faded singer K who becomes responsible for music therapy for patients at the National Mind Healing Center and prepares a music competition with them, healing each other in the process.
KCM plays the role of singer K, marking his first acting challenge since his debut. Hong Kyung-min plays Gwan-bin, the loyal manager who has stayed by K's side for 20 years, and Kim Chan-mi plays Hyun-joo, a musician receiving treatment for disaster trauma.

Singer KCM debuted in 2004 and released songs such as "Black and White Photo" and "To Eun-young." Later, he experienced a second heyday as a member of MSG Wannabe on MBC's variety show "Hangout with Yoo." His first script reading ahead of the film shoot was featured on the show "The Manager," drawing attention.
