Lee Seong-hee, President of NongHyup Central Association, New Year Tasks at Smart Agriculture Site
[Asia Economy Reporter Haeyoung Kwon] Lee Seonghee, Chairman of the NongHyup Central Association, recently attended the opening ceremony of the 'Smart Agriculture Support Center' at Dongcheonan NongHyup in Chungnam.
Chairman Lee inspected the Smart Agriculture Support Center, a smart farm education facility established for the first time under the leadership of local NongHyup branches, and discussed ways to expand smart agriculture with farm stakeholders.
The Dongcheonan NongHyup Smart Agriculture Support Center is a facility designed so that small and medium-sized farmers and young farmers who wish to introduce smart farms can easily acquire farming technology without direct investment. The NongHyup Central Association plans to establish additional Smart Agriculture Support Centers by city and province, providing on-site customized technical education, facility and financial consulting, and other support.

Chairman Lee stated, "Digitalization of agriculture is an inevitable trend of the times, but farmers face difficulties investing in expensive smart farm facilities," adding, "We plan to expand the operation of Smart Agriculture Support Centers centered on local agricultural cooperatives."
