"Second Round of Small Business Quarantine Support Fund Starts Tomorrow... Benefits for 2.48 Million Places"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] The Ministry of SMEs and Startups will begin the second round of quarantine support fund payments to approximately 2.48 million small business owners starting tomorrow (the 6th).
The recipients of this second payment are divided into ▲ businesses supported by the Buffer Fund Plus and Hope Recovery Fund (2.45 million) and ▲ multiple-business operators managed by a single individual (30,000).
Businesses that received the Buffer Fund Plus and Hope Recovery Fund last year are recognized as having experienced a decrease in sales and will receive the quarantine support fund.
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups selected about 2.49 million businesses, excluding those that have closed, from the Buffer Fund Plus and Hope Recovery Fund recipients as eligible, and finalized 2.45 million businesses excluding those with co-representatives.
Among small business owners who were subject to operating hour restrictions and were excluded from the first payment, 28,406 multiple-business operators managed by a single individual will also receive the quarantine support fund through this second payment.
In particular, through this second payment, about 40,000 lodging businesses, 10,000 travel agencies, and 140,000 beauty and hair salons?representative indirect damage industries due to strengthened quarantine measures?will also receive the quarantine support fund.
The second payment will begin on the 6th. On that day, businesses with an even final digit in their business registration number can apply, and notification text messages will be sent starting at 9 a.m. On the 7th, businesses with an odd final digit in their business registration number are eligible, and from the 8th onward, applications can be submitted regardless of the number.
As with the first payment, transfers will be made five times a day, and if an application is submitted by 6 p.m., the support fund will be deposited on the same day.
Multiple-business operators managed by a single individual can apply starting from the 10th. They will also be notified separately via text message.
Small business owners who receive the notification text can apply by accessing '소상공인방역지원금.kr'. To apply, they must prepare a mobile phone registered in their name or a joint certificate for identity verification (for corporations, a corporate joint certificate).
By entering the business registration number, verifying identity, and inputting the transfer account, the process can be completed easily without the need to upload any additional documents.
