Samyang Foods Launches Jjamppong Ramen 'Badambbong'
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-sun] Samyang Foods announced on the 4th that it has launched a new product, "Badampong" (Jjamppong that contains the sea).
Badampong is a jjamppong ramen product characterized by a deep, rich, and spicy broth made with squid, shrimp, and other seafood. The noodle dough uses a seafood base and potato starch to enhance umami and chewiness, and thicker noodles than regular ramen are applied to create the elastic texture of jjamppong noodles.
The flake soup includes seafood such as squid, red crab, seaweed, and kelp, along with vegetables like cabbage, bok choy, and carrots to enhance the chewing texture.
