Appointment of Cinematographer Byeongho Ahn and Others as Non-Standing Members of the Korean Film Council
Hwang Hee, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, appointed six non-standing members of the Korean Film Council on the 4th. They are Kim Dong-hyun, Head of Merry Christmas Film Business Division; Kim Dong-hyun, Director of the Korean Independent Film Association; Kim Sun-ah, Associate Professor in the Department of Performing Arts and Film at Dankook University; Kim Yi-seok, Professor in the Department of Film at Dong-Eui University; Ahn Byung-ho, cinematographer; and Choi Nak-yong, CEO of Film Company Pool. Their term is three years, until January 2025. An official stated, "Candidates were recommended by film-related organizations," and explained, "We considered a balanced range of factors including expertise and experience in film art and industry, gender, and age."
