Gachon University, Regular Admission Competition Rate '7.3 to 1'
[Asia Economy (Seongnam) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] As a result of Gachon University closing the 2022 academic year regular admission application on the 3rd, 11,890 applicants applied for 1,625 recruitment spots, recording an average competition rate of 7.3 to 1.
This shows an increase of 3,516 applicants compared to last year's regular admission, which had 8,374 applicants for 1,327 recruitment spots with a competition rate of 6.3 to 1, and the competition rate also rose.
Looking at the application status by screening type, General Screening I 'Ga' group recruited 412 students with 2,801 applicants, showing a competition rate of 6.8 to 1; 'Na' group recruited 196 students with 1,151 applicants, showing a competition rate of 5.9 to 1. 'Da' group recruited 599 students with 4,384 applicants, showing a competition rate of 7.3 to 1.
General Screening II 'Ga' group recruited 136 students with 1,495 applicants, recording a competition rate of 11 to 1; 'Na' group recruited 30 students with 198 applicants, recording a competition rate of 6.6 to 1. 'Da' group recruited 181 students with 1,705 applicants, showing a competition rate of 9.4 to 1.
The College of Medicine's Pre-Medical program recruited 15 students with 83 applicants, showing a competition rate of 5.5 to 1; the College of Korean Medicine's Pre-Korean Medicine program recruited 20 students with 183 applicants, showing a competition rate of 9.2 to 1.
This year, the newly established General Screening I 'Na' group Smart City Convergence Department recruited 17 students with 136 applicants, recording a competition rate of 8 to 1; Smart Factory Major recruited 16 students with 106 applicants, recording 6.6 to 1; Next-Generation Semiconductor Major recruited 16 students with 95 applicants, recording 5.9 to 1; Smart Security Major recruited 17 students with 87 applicants, recording 5.1 to 1, respectively.
