2276 COVID-19 Cases Nationwide by 6 PM... 192 Fewer Than Yesterday
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] On Sunday, the 2nd, COVID-19 cases continued to be reported across the country.
According to health authorities and local governments including Seoul City, from midnight to 6 p.m. on that day, a total of 2,276 people nationwide tested positive for COVID-19. This is 192 fewer than the 2,468 cases recorded at the same time the previous day.
New confirmed cases on that day were 1,417 (62.3%) in the metropolitan area and 859 (37.7%) in non-metropolitan areas.
By city and province, the numbers were Seoul 668, Gyeonggi 575, Incheon 174, Busan 170, Gyeongnam 123, Chungnam 99, Daegu 87, Gwangju 63, Jeonbuk 62, Gangwon 50, Gyeongbuk 48, Chungbuk 41, Daejeon 40, Jeju 28, Jeonnam 23, Ulsan 21, and Sejong 4.

The fourth domestic wave, which began in early July, has continued for nearly six months. Over the week from the 27th of last month, new confirmed cases were 4,205 → 3,865 → 5,408 → 535 → 4,874 → 4,415 → 3,833, averaging about 4,519 cases per day.
