Korea Exchange to Hold Closing Ceremony for Securities and Derivatives Markets on the 30th
[Asia Economy Reporter Gong Byung-sun] Korea Exchange announced on the 28th that it will hold the '2021 Securities and Derivatives Market Closing Ceremony' at 3 PM on the 30th at the Busan International Finance Center.
Due to the spread of COVID-19, the closing ceremony will minimize the number of attendees to fewer than 50, including members of the National Assembly, the Deputy Mayor of Economy of Busan, heads of securities-related organizations, and representatives of citizens.
The event will proceed in the order of a commemorative video, closing remarks, closing address, Capital Market Person of the Year award ceremony, and closing signal ceremony. This year's Capital Market Person of the Year was selected as Choi Hyun-man, Chairman of Mirae Asset Securities.

A Korea Exchange official stated, "To prevent COVID-19, we plan to strictly adhere to social distancing and quarantine guidelines," and added, "The closing ceremony can also be viewed on the Korea Exchange YouTube channel on the day."
