Robot Process Automation (RPA) Application
Annual Work Time Reduced by 94%
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] BC Card announced on the 28th that it has strengthened its company-wide digital work capabilities through the Robotic Process Automation (RPA) system.
Since building the RPA system in 2017, BC Card has automated about 90 tasks in five areas up to this year: product operations, monitoring, data registration/extraction/analysis, data verification/reconciliation, and accounting processing and settlement.
As a result, the time required to handle these tasks was reduced by approximately 94%, from 65,200 hours annually to 3,835 hours. Additionally, it blocked various errors that could occur during manual processing in some tasks, improving work accuracy and securing the reliability of the outcomes.
Going forward, BC Card plans to advance the RPA system into an active automation platform by integrating it with new technologies such as image and voice recognition, machine learning, artificial intelligence (AI), and blockchain. It will also expand the application scope not only in the work environment but also across various customer touchpoints to drive innovation in customer experience.
