[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyung-min] Choi Seo-won (formerly Choi Soon-sil, 65), who is serving an 18-year prison sentence for the state corruption scandal, has filed an injunction request with the court to return her confiscated tablet PC.
According to the legal community on the 22nd, the Seoul Central District Court Civil Division 51 (Presiding Judge Ko Hong-seok) will hold a hearing in the afternoon regarding Choi's injunction request against the state to prohibit the transfer of possession, alteration, or destruction of the movable property.

Previously, Choi had applied to the prosecution to return the tablet PC as confiscated property. However, the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office rejected the request, stating that "the applicant's ownership has not been confirmed." It appears that Choi's side filed the injunction request in response to this rejection. Choi's side explained, "This is a request to return the tablet PC of Choi, which was reported by JTBC, as the confiscated property has not been returned after the investigation was completed."
