'Daechang-dong Project Leader' Kim Moon-gi, Head of Development Division 1 at Seongnam Urban Development Corporation, Found Dead (Update)
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Soyeon] Kim Mungi, Head of Development Division 1 at Seongnam Urban Development Corporation, was found dead on the afternoon of the 21st at the Seongnam Urban Development Corporation office in Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi Province.
Employees of Seongnam Urban Development Corporation discovered Kim dead in the office on the first floor of the corporation's building around 8:30 PM that day and reported it to the police.
Earlier, the police confirmed that at around 8:13 PM, they received a report from Kim's family stating that Kim had gone to work that morning but had not been reachable since, and they were in the process of locating him.
The police are investigating the detailed circumstances of the death and whether Kim left a suicide note.

Kim had been under investigation by the prosecution and police after being known as the leader of the Seongnam Daejang-dong development project, which was embroiled in allegations of preferential treatment.
