Temporary Suspension of Pohang Sarang Gift Certificate Merchant Exchange... Towards a Better Integrated System Service
From the 31st of this month to January 7th of next year
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Intern Reporter Lee Seryeong] Pohang City, Gyeongbuk Province, will temporarily suspend the Pohang Sarang Gift Certificate exchange service from the 31st of this month until January 7th of next year.
The temporary suspension of the service is a measure taken during the relocation process of transferring data to a new platform as part of building an integrated gift certificate system to enhance the convenience of using the gift certificates and ensure efficient management.
Earlier this month, the city sent notices informing about the temporary suspension of the exchange service to approximately 16,000 affiliated stores.
During this period, payments using the Pohang Sarang Card and Pohang Sarang Gift Certificates will still be possible, but paper-type Pohang Sarang Gift Certificates cannot be exchanged for six days. Exchanges will resume at financial institutions starting January 10th.
Once the integrated gift certificate system is established, it will be possible to manage individual limits for both paper and electronic gift certificates in an integrated manner, personal information security will be strengthened, and the processing speed of web services on administrator pages such as financial institutions is expected to improve, the city forecasted.
