Heo Sang-hee, CEO of Dongbu Construction, Promoted to Vice Chairman
Dongbu Construction announced on the 20th that it has promoted CEO Heo Sang-hee to Vice Chairman.
Vice Chairman Heo was appointed as Executive Vice President of Dongbu Construction Co., Ltd. in 2016, served as CEO from 2018, and was promoted to Vice Chairman on December 20, 2021. Heo is credited with improving overall business performance at Dongbu Construction.
During his tenure, Dongbu Construction successfully exited court receivership, improved its contract ranking from 36th to 21st, upgraded its credit rating from D to BBB (positive), and increased sales from approximately 580 billion KRW to 1.21 trillion KRW.
This year, the company also finalized the acquisition of Hanjin Heavy Industries, which is expected to create strategic synergies in the shipbuilding and construction sectors.
