Dong-Eui University AI Grand ICT Research Center, Agreement to Foster AI-Based Robot Industry

Through this agreement, each institution will actively engage in ▲technology exchange and research and development related to AI-based robots ▲promotion of AI-based industrial robot industry ▲dissemination of AI and establishment of AI network ecosystems ▲training of outstanding personnel related to AI and robots ▲development of industry-academia linked educational programs and information exchange ▲active exchange in various projects and events.
The Dong-Eui University Artificial Intelligence Grand ICT Research Center and the Artificial Intelligence Robot Research Institute are conducting joint research and development in the field of Edge AI.
With this agreement, the research center plans to carry out joint research and development with Roas in AI robot platforms and intelligent robot fields as well.
Following the signing ceremony, a special lecture on ‘Intelligent Robot Technology’ under the Ministry of Education’s University Innovation Support Project, ‘Smart IT Manufacturing Technology Project,’ conducted by Dong-Eui University, was held.
In the special lecture, Lee Seung-hyun, team leader of Roas and a graduate of Dong-Eui University’s Department of Robotics and Automation Engineering, introduced autonomous driving and quadruped robot technology and gave a career lecture, followed by a demonstration of the quadruped robot Spot.
Jung Seok-chan, director of the Dong-Eui University Artificial Intelligence Grand ICT Research Center, said, “We will strive to discover advanced convergence ICT services through active mutual exchange.”
Joo Yong, CEO of Roas, said, “The agreement with the Artificial Intelligence Grand ICT Research Center holds significant meaning in terms of spreading research and development achievements through collaboration in AI-based robot innovation capabilities and the growth of the industry.”
