Hi Investment & Securities Appoints Hong Won-sik, Former Ebest Investment & Securities CEO, as New CEO
[Asia Economy Reporter Gong Byung-sun] Hi Investment & Securities has appointed former eBest Investment & Securities CEO Hong Won-sik as its new CEO.
On the 9th, Hi Investment & Securities announced that it selected former CEO Hong as the new CEO candidate at the Executive Nomination Committee and the Board of Directors meeting.
Hong will be appointed as an inside director at the extraordinary general meeting of shareholders to be held on the 30th of this month, and then finally appointed as CEO through the board meeting. His term will last until the regular shareholders' meeting in March 2024.

Born in 1964, Hong graduated from Korea University Law School and earned a master's degree in business administration from Carnegie Mellon University. He worked at the International Business Department of the Securities Supervision Bureau, the predecessor of the current Financial Supervisory Service, and the International Finance Team of the former LG Investment & Securities. Since September 2008, he served as Executive Director of the Strategic Management Team at eBest Investment & Securities. From 2013, he served as CEO of eBest Investment & Securities for six years.
