[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] Murim Paper announced on the 9th that it will sponsor paper to the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMCA) to promote cultural and artistic revitalization.
This sponsorship comes amid growing public interest in modern and contemporary art and aims to reflect on the roles of museums and companies in the development of domestic culture and arts, as well as to share a common purpose.
Murim Paper sponsored its premium printing paper "Artizen" for the exhibition catalog of the Park Soo-keun retrospective "Park Soo-keun: The Bare Tree Waiting for Spring," currently on display at the MMCA Deoksugung branch. Artizen is a new product launched by Murim Paper, a premium rough gloss paper named to signify its ability to faithfully reproduce the rich colors of artworks such as paintings and photographs.
Yoon Bum-mo, director of the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, expressed gratitude to Murim Paper for their shared commitment to cultural and artistic development, saying, "I believe such corporate initiatives will be a great support to many artists."
In addition to the Park Soo-keun retrospective, Murim plans to sponsor paper for future MMCA exhibition catalogs and provide pulp and pulp molds for children’s exclusive experience programs, offering opportunities for children and the general public to directly engage with eco-friendly materials.
