Gwangju Gwangsan Fire Station Holds Meeting to Prevent Fires in Traditional Markets
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangju Gwangsan Fire Station (Chief Song Seonghun) announced on the 29th that it held a meeting to promote fire prevention and voluntary safety management in traditional markets for the winter season.
The meeting, conducted in compliance with COVID-19 prevention guidelines, took place at the Songjeong Daily Market Merchants' Association building with participation from market merchants' association officials.
During the meeting, topics discussed included ▲requests for traditional market safety management and fire prevention ▲promotion of fire safety measures for winter and sharing of recently revised laws ▲maintenance and management of traditional market fire alarm facilities and automatic fire notification systems.
Lee Gwanyong, Head of the Prevention and Safety Division, said, “Fire prevention depends above all on the voluntary safety management commitment of those involved, so we ask for active cooperation,” adding, “Gwangsan Fire Station will do its best to prevent fires to protect the safety of citizens.”
