[Asia Economy Reporter Bu Aeri] Naver affiliate Line announced on the 26th that it has issued Zepeto's non-fungible tokens (NFTs) in Japan. Zepeto is Naver's global augmented reality (AR) avatar service.
Using its own blockchain technology, Line will issue a total of 1,200 NFTs, with 100 copies each of 12 images of the official Zepeto World map, Cherry Blossom Garden. These NFTs will be issued exclusively in Japan.
They will be sold in the first round at 500 yen (approximately 5,100 KRW) each at CryptoGames' NFT studio. Afterwards, they will be distributed in the secondary market on the beta version of the Line Bitmax NFT market.
Through collaboration with Zepeto, Line plans to increase familiarity with NFTs so that more users can purchase and trade NFTs.
