Seongnam City to Host Forum on Revitalizing Medical Tourism Industry
[Asia Economy (Seongnam) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Seongnam City in Gyeonggi Province will hold a forum to revitalize the medical tourism industry.
Seongnam City announced on the 26th that it will hold an online forum on the 1st of next month to seek ways to revitalize the local medical tourism industry, which has been stagnant due to COVID-19.
The forum, held under the theme "Strategies for Revitalizing the Medical Tourism Industry in the COVID-19 Era," will be chaired by Professor Lee Won-jae of Gachon University and divided into two parts.
The first part will feature five experts from institutions, academia, businesses, and the medical field presenting on various topics.
The presenters include ▲ Lee Haeng-shin, Head of the International Medical Strategy Division at the Korea Health Industry Development Institute (Current Status and Policy Directions of International Medical Business) ▲ Lee Won-jae, Professor at Gachon University (Strategies for Attracting Foreign Patients to Small and Medium-sized Hospitals) ▲ Kang Byung-il, CEO of Naturaliner Co., Ltd. (Strategies for Attracting Foreign Patients in the Post-COVID Era) ▲ Kang Hyung-beom, Head of the International Medical Team at Incheon St. Mary's Hospital (Changes in Marketing Trends for Attracting Foreign Patients Overcoming the Global Pandemic) ▲ Moon Olga, Domestic Coordinator for the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) (Changes and Marketing Strategies in Medical Tourism for Russia and CIS Countries in the COVID-19 Era).
The second part will be a comprehensive discussion among the presenters on development plans for Seongnam City's medical tourism industry.
The forum will be broadcast live on the YouTube channel "Seongnam Medical Tourism" and via Zoom.
