Three Companies Compete in Tourism Development Project Contest for Anmyeondo, Chungnam
[Asia Economy (Hongseong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Three private companies have submitted bids for the development project of the tourist area in Anmyeondo, Chungnam.
According to Chungnam Province on the 24th, as a result of the bid submission deadline for the development project operators of Anmyeondo tourist area districts 1, 3, and 4, one company submitted development proposals and a project application deposit of 500 million KRW for districts 1, 3, and 4, while two companies submitted proposals and deposits for districts 3 and 4.
The province plans to evaluate each company's project proposals next month and decide on the selection of the preferred negotiation partner within this year.
The evaluation will be conducted in two stages: the first is a document review, and the second involves assessments by external experts including tourism and regional development specialists, accountants, and lawyers.
Once the preferred negotiation partner is selected, the company will establish a Special Purpose Company (SPC), sign an implementation agreement with the province by May next year, and begin full-scale development.
A provincial official said, "We have high expectations as companies have actively submitted project proposals for the development of the Anmyeondo tourist area," adding, "The province will conduct evaluations by external experts, select the preferred negotiation partner within this year, and ensure the project progresses swiftly."
Meanwhile, the Anmyeondo tourist area development project is planned on a large scale to create a year-round resort tourist destination by 2025 in the Seungeon, Jungjang, and Sinya-ri areas of Anmyeon-eup, Taean-gun (covering 2,941,735㎡), with a total project cost of 1.8852 trillion KRW (private capital of 1.8567 trillion KRW).
