Five Artists Selected for 'Solo Exhibition of the Year'... Ulsan City, in Fine Arts, Photography, and Calligraphy Flat Art Fields
Application Open from 25 to 30: 2022 'Artist of the Year Solo Exhibition' Relay Event
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Ulsan Culture and Arts Center is recruiting local artists to lead the ‘2022 Artist of the Year Solo Exhibition’ from the 25th to the 30th.
The Artist of the Year Solo Exhibition, established to support and nurture the creative activities of local artists and revitalize the Ulsan art scene, selects artists through a public contest and is held in a relay format.
Eligibility requires applicants to be at least 19 years old as of the announcement date and either have resided in Ulsan for more than one year or have more than one year of exhibition experience as a Ulsan citizen.
Applications can be submitted by visiting the Culture and Arts Center or by mail, with a participation application form, portfolio, and PowerPoint materials prepared.
The recruitment field is limited to two-dimensional works, not three-dimensional or installation formats, considering the characteristics of the permanent exhibition space for the Artist of the Year Solo Exhibition. A total of five artists will be selected from the fields of fine art, photography, and calligraphy.
The exhibitions will begin with a group exhibition and continue with six solo exhibitions, each lasting 60 days, until December. Participating artists will be provided with creative support funds and promotional materials within the budget.
