Introduction and Experience Reviews of Local Tourist Attractions, Cultural Events, and Tours
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gangseo-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Noh Hyun-song) is holding the ‘Gangseo-gu Office Culture and Tourism Blog & YouTube Contest’ until November 30.
This contest was organized with the purpose of having residents directly discover hidden local attractions and to further activate the district’s culture and tourism SNS.
The contest themes are ▲ Stories of Gangseo culture and tourism that can be enjoyed despite COVID-19 ▲ Reviews of tourist attractions unique to Gangseo-gu that participants want to share.
The contest is divided into two categories: blog and YouTube, and participants can submit up to three entries per category. However, submissions must be original works posted on the participant’s blog or YouTube channel after January 2021.
The submission period is until November 30, and anyone can participate regardless of age or region.
Participants should copy the URL of their blog post or YouTube video and post it in the ‘Memo’ section of the menu bar at the top right of the Gangseo-gu Office Culture and Tourism Blog, then submit the application form via email to the person in charge.
Detailed information and the application form can be found and downloaded from the ‘Gangseo-gu Office Culture and Tourism Blog - Notices’ section.
The district will have an external expert judging panel review the submissions and select a total of 18 outstanding works, 9 per category, in December, with individual notifications to the winners.
Award winners will be selected based on overall evaluation of story interest, originality of content, content connectivity, and consideration for visitors. The top prize winner in each category will receive a cultural gift certificate worth 100,000 KRW, the excellence award winners (3 per category) will receive 80,000 KRW, and the encouragement award winners (5 per category) will receive 50,000 KRW worth of cultural gift certificates.
