Neowiz Acquires Mobile Game Developer 'HiDear'
[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] Neowiz announced on the 17th that it will acquire the mobile game developer Hidear as a subsidiary. The acquired stake is 100%, and the acquisition amount is 20 billion KRW.
Hidear is a mobile game developer established in 2012. It is famous for the game "Undead Slayer." Another game, "Human or Vampire," has recorded 3 million cumulative global downloads. Last month, it officially released the new title "Goyangi wa Seupeu" (Cat and Soup).
Neowiz plans to prepare the next work, which is original and has gameplay, as Hidear has strengths in developing casual mobile games.

Kim Seungcheol, co-CEO of Neowiz, said, "We will actively pursue the discovery of new intellectual property (IP) in the future," adding, "Starting with a large-scale new work under development, we will actively introduce various genres and competitive works to the global market."
