[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] On the 15th, LS Group announced that it held the 'Hot Heart Sharing' event, delivering kimchi for kimjang, winter blankets, native bee honey, and other items worth about 100 million KRW to over 800 vulnerable households in Anseong-si, Gyeonggi-do, where the group's training center Miraewon is located, amid the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
At this year's event, LS Group packaged and donated about 60 kg of native bee honey produced in collaboration with the Anseong Agricultural Technology Center's native bee breeding project.
Since July this year, as part of its win-win management considering the environment and society, LS Group has participated in the 'Earth Ecology Environmental Restoration Movement' by installing 26 beehives in idle land within Miraewon, providing a habitat for about 400,000 native bees.
LS Group Chairman Koo Ja-yeol said, "I am glad to hold this meaningful event with Anseong City every year," adding, "I hope this sharing activity can be a vaccine for the hearts of the elderly who are going through difficult times due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic."
