Dongmyeong University Department of Counseling Psychology Hosts Campus Counseling Festival 'Maeumulimmadangje'
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Trainee Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Dongmyeong University held the 7th ‘Maeum Ullim Madangje,’ a campus festival dealing with psychological counseling, on the 10th.
From 9 a.m. that day, about 100 current students and alumni gathered for communication time with professors, a talk concert with counseling and youth-related practitioners, and club booth experience Do-ing events.
Counseling and youth-related experts and graduate students participated in the ‘Senior Talk Concert,’ including Lee Ji-young, a youth counselor from Busan City Youth Activity Promotion Center, Yoon Ju-yeon from Dongmyeong University’s master’s program, Joo In-seok from Inje University Graduate School, and Gong Yoo-kyung from iMom Psychological Development Center.
On the same day, Dongmyeong University also signed industry-academic cooperation agreements with 14 counseling and youth-related organizations.
The counseling and youth-related organizations agreed to jointly support on-site internships for current students, mental health counseling, and the development of mental health education programs.

Choi Sung-jin, head of the Department of Counseling Psychology, said, “This was prepared to enhance the academic performance of students exhausted by COVID-19, cultivate the qualities of prospective counselors, and foster creative counseling experts.”
