Jo Seong-eun, the first whistleblower of the 'accusation manipulation' suspicion, is responding to reporters' questions as she enters the Anti-Corruption and Public Crime Investigation Division of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency in Mapo-gu, Seoul, on the morning of the 10th to undergo a complainant investigation regarding the case in which she sued members of the People Power Party for defamation and other charges.

[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Dong-hoon] Jo Seong-eun, the whistleblower in the alleged "gobal saju" scandal, appeared at the police station in connection with the defamation lawsuit she filed against Yoon Seok-yeol, the People Power Party's presidential candidate and former Prosecutor General, as well as Representative Kim Woong and Floor Leader Kim Ki-hyun.
On the 10th, Jo appeared at the Anti-Corruption and Public Crime Investigation Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency in Mapo-gu, Seoul, as a complainant, stating, "Current prosecutors and politicians insulted a public interest whistleblower for political gain," and added, "I could not tolerate this and proceeded with criminal charges."
Earlier, Jo filed a complaint with the prosecution accusing former Prosecutor General Yoon and Representative Kim of defamation and insult for insulting her during press conferences and other occasions, and the case was assigned to the police.

Separately, Jo also submitted complaints against six incumbent lawmakers, including Representative Kwon Seong-dong of the People Power Party, accusing them of defaming her through radio broadcasts and social media.
