Korea Development Bank and Korea Institute for Industrial Economics and Trade Joint Seminar... 2022 Industry Outlook for 4 Sectors
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] The Korea Development Bank and the Korea Institute for Industrial Economics and Trade announced on the 8th that they held the 2nd joint seminar under the theme of '2022 Major Industry Outlook and Analysis.'
They shared information on next year's industry outlook for four major sectors including semiconductors and explored ways to establish industrial policies. The Korea Development Bank was responsible for presentations on petrochemicals and shipping, while the Korea Institute for Industrial Economics and Trade covered semiconductors and general machinery sectors.
The Korea Development Bank and the Korea Institute for Industrial Economics and Trade signed a business agreement in February this year for joint research in the industrial sector to strengthen support for companies and contribute to the government's industrial policy formulation. In this regard, following the 1st joint seminar held in June under the theme of 'Diagnosis and Analysis of Core Industry Value Chains,' the two institutions are actively conducting joint research, including holding the 2nd joint seminar in the second half of this year.

Lee Geun-hwan, Director of the Future Strategy Research Institute at the Korea Development Bank, stated, “We plan to continue to activate joint research between the two institutions to strengthen research support on important issues facing our industries, such as carbon neutrality, industrial transformation, and changes in the global supply chain.”
