North Korea on UN Human Rights Resolution: "Europe Should Handle Its Own Human Rights Filth"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] This year, North Korea condemned the UN resolution on North Korean human rights as a "slanderous 'resolution' filled with fabricated false materials" and snapped, "Handle the human rights filth in your own house."
On the 9th, the North Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated on its website through a message signed by Ri Sang-rim, Chairman of the Chosun-Europe Association, that "The habitual submission of 'resolutions' by the European Alliance has nothing to do with protecting and promoting the human rights of our people from the start."
Chairman Ri pointed out, "In April 2003, the European Alliance overturned the bilateral human rights dialogue and cooperation with us, which had started due to their repeated demands, and suddenly submitted the first anti-Republic 'human rights resolution' at the 59th session of the UN Human Rights Commission," adding, "It was a political hostile act born from blind obedience to the United States, which designated our country as the 'axis of evil' and pressured even its allied countries on all fronts."
North Korea regards the mention of human rights issues through the UN and others as part of the 'anti-DPRK hostile policy' and demands its abolition.
Chairman Ri said, "The European Alliance, riding on the United States' hostile policy toward the DPRK, repeatedly brings up 'human rights resolutions' opposing us every year on the UN stage and is stuck in a confrontational stance of forced adoption," and pointed out, "The European Alliance is brazenly deceiving the world by covering up the impure purpose of submitting 'resolutions' that infringe on our country's sovereignty and interfere in internal affairs with the guise of 'human rights protection.'"

He raised his voice, saying, "The places where deep-rooted racism, racial discrimination, refugee abuse, police violence, murder, sexual assault, and all kinds of human rights violations that shock the world are rampant are none other than the European Alliance countries," and demanded, 'Handle the human rights filth in your own house.'
