Gwangju Gwangsan Fire Station Conducts 'Emergency Fire Safety Inspection' at COVID-19 Residential Treatment Center
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangju Gwangsan Fire Station (Chief Song Seonghun) announced on the 8th that it recently conducted an emergency fire safety inspection to prevent fires at the COVID-19 Residential Treatment Center in Sochon-dong, Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Gwangju Fire Academy Dormitory).
This inspection included ▲checking whether fire safety measures were independently established ▲confirming if there were any evacuation obstacles such as closure or locking of entrances and emergency exits due to COVID-19 quarantine measures ▲and inspecting the management status of firefighting facilities.
Additionally, together with the Korea Electrical Safety Corporation, they checked the condition of electrical wiring and whether the rated current of circuit breakers was appropriate.
Chief Song Seonghun stated, “As the use of heating appliances is expected to increase due to the colder weather, we will remove risk factors in advance and ensure thorough fire prevention activities so that there is no disruption in responding to COVID-19.”
