On the 18th, Lee appeared as a witness at the National Assembly's Public Administration and Security Committee's audit of Gyeonggi Province held at the Gyeonggi Provincial Government Office in Suwon, where he was questioned about the so-called 'Daejang-dong Four'?Yoo Dong-gyu, Kim Man-bae, Jung Young-hak, and Nam Wook?who have been the focus of recent attention.
Lee first responded, "Yoo Dong-gyu, former Planning Director of Seongnam Urban Development Corporation, was one of the subordinates I entrusted with work." He added, "I have repeatedly said in public that money is the devil. It corrupts without one realizing it." He continued, "I emphasized integrity whenever there was an opportunity. While neither my family nor close aides were involved, it is shameful that a subordinate I worked with became embroiled in controversy."
Lee further explained that Yoo, while serving as president of the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization more than a year ago, requested 38 billion won in film investment funds. After reviewing the request, it was rejected, and Yoo immediately resigned from his position as president of the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization. Since then, Lee said he has not had any contact with him.
Regarding Kim Man-bae, Lee stated that he had met him only once a long time ago during an interview and had no further meetings afterward.
As for accountant Jung Young-hak and lawyer Nam Wook, Lee said he did not know them at all.
