[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Jeong-min] President Moon Jae-in and Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party of Korea's presidential candidate, attended a government event together on the 14th in Sejong City. This is the first time since Lee was selected as the ruling party's presidential candidate that he has attended an event alongside President Moon.
President Moon and candidate Lee attended the 'Balanced Development Achievements and Ultra-wide Area Cooperation Support Strategy Report' event held at the Government Sejong Convention Center in Sejong City on the same day.
The event was an opportunity to share the Moon Jae-in administration's national balanced development strategy, with Prime Minister Kim Boo-kyum and key ministers from major departments, as well as governors from cities and provinces nationwide, participating.
Candidate Lee attended the event in his capacity as Governor of Gyeonggi Province. After entering the venue, he greeted the attendees.
